Dual Enrollment Coordinator
January 2026 Honoree
Sometimes, the difference between stress and success comes down to one person willing to say, “Let me help.” For one student, that person was Callie Stanley. As the Dual Enrollment Coordinator at Northeast, Callie works behind the scenes to help high school students navigate college-level coursework. But when a student reached out just days before a short nine-week term was set to begin, after exhausting every available option at their high school and beyond, Callie didn’t hesitate. “I explained my situation, and within less than 24 hours, she had me registered for two dual enrollment virtual courses.” Psychology. Speech. Two classes. One solution and a future changed. Because of Callie’s quick action and steady guidance, the student not only stayed on track academically but went on to graduate as Valedictorian of the 2024 Lafayette High School class. “The process was easy and seamless. Without her help, I would not have qualified for the honor.” When it came time for transcripts to be submitted, a complicated process outside of NEMCC, Callie continued to advocate long after her official role was complete. She worked alongside the Records Office to ensure grades were processed correctly so the student received full credit toward their final GPA. “She didn’t have to help me at that point, but she did. She made sure I had everything I needed.” Though all communication took place over email and phone, the impact was deeply personal. “Ms. Stanley was the absolute best person I encountered at NEMCC. She was personable, friendly, responsive, and incredibly efficient.” “From my interaction with her, it’s clear she loves her job and truly advocates for high school students.” That dedication, responsiveness, and genuine care is what the Northeast Way Award is all about, meeting students where they are and going the extra mile to help them succeed.
