Georgie Carroll
Director of Student Recruiting
October 2025 Honoree
If you’ve ever stepped foot on Northeast’s campus, there’s a good chance you’ve been greeted by the warm smile and unwavering energy of Mrs. Georgie Carroll. For more than three decades, Georgie has been a guiding light for students, walking alongside them from their very first visit to the moment they find their place as a Tiger.
Her colleague, who nominated her for the Northeast Way Award, described her as “the epitome of a servant leader”, someone whose kindness never clocks out. One story in particular captures her heart perfectly. When a student arrived on campus struggling to get registered, Georgie didn’t just point them in the right direction; she sat down beside them, helped track down their transcript after the school had closed, and personally walked them to Financial Aid. She stayed by their side until every detail was handled, even showing them exactly where to go for their first class.
That’s the Northeast Way, and Georgie lives it every single day.
“She never lets a student leave campus without getting everything possible taken care of,” her nominator shared. “She’s caring, she follows up with parents and students, and she’s determined to help every person she meets succeed.”
But Georgie’s influence extends far beyond her office. She’s a mentor, encourager, and role model to her colleagues. “She teaches us that if we can’t do anything else, we can always be kinder than anyone else,” her nominator said. “I’ve never had a boss who excels at what they do the way Mrs. Georgie does. She’s a second mother to me, everything I hope to be in both my professional and personal life.”
There’s no question, Georgie Carroll is one of the reasons Northeast feels like home. Tireless, compassionate, and devoted to others, she embodies the spirit of our campus family. As her nominator put it best, “She truly is the G.O.A.T. (the Greatest of All Time.)”
