Impact
Measuring growth. Sharing success. Ensuring opportunity for all.

Impact at Northeast is rooted in a journey that began in 2018 with the launch of our 1:1 iPad program. By combining access to technology with a shift to Open Educational Resources (OER), we removed barriers related to cost and equity, ensuring every student has the tools and materials needed from day one. Today, our Apple ecosystem, including iPad, MacBook, Apple Pencil, Apple TV, and Apple School Manager, creates a connected and seamless learning environment for students, faculty, and staff across campus. This integrated ecosystem supports creativity, collaboration, and efficient device deployment while empowering users to teach, learn, and work from anywhere. Our work is driven by reflection, informed by data, and grounded in a commitment to continuous improvement as we continue creating opportunities that empower every student to learn, create, and thrive.
Impact through Innovation
Northeast remains committed to removing barriers and expanding access to learning opportunities for all students. By combining OER with our 1:1 iPad program, students have immediate access to affordable, high-quality learning materials from the first day of class. Since the launch of the initiative, Northeast students have saved more than $12 million in textbook costs, helping make higher education more accessible and equitable. This commitment to innovation and affordability continues to positively impact student success, engagement, and access to the tools needed to learn, create, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Impact with Evidence
Continuous improvement is a central part of our approach to technology integration and student learning. Each year, students are surveyed about their experiences with technology in the classroom, allowing us to reflect on our practices and make informed decisions that support innovation and growth. Student feedback consistently shows that technology is being used to promote creativity, collaboration, and student agency, while instructors effectively organize digital content and make learning materials easily accessible. Students also report that faculty use technology in meaningful and engaging ways, reflecting an ongoing shift toward more student-centered instructional practices across campus.

Sharing Our Story, Inspiring Others
Innovation is most impactful when it is shared. As an Apple Distinguished School, we are committed to contributing to the broader educational community by openly sharing our experiences, successes, and lessons learned. Through conference presentations, published articles, and collaborative partnerships, we showcase how purposeful technology integration can transform teaching, learning, and student success.
Northeast regularly welcomes educators and institutional leaders from across the region who visit our campus to learn about our 1:1 iPad initiative, Open Educational Resources program, and innovative instructional practices. These visits provide opportunities to exchange ideas, demonstrate authentic classroom experiences, and support other institutions as they explore their own technology-rich learning environments.
Our faculty also extends their impact beyond campus through scholarship, writing, and thought leadership. From presenting at professional conferences to authoring publications that encourage reflection, personal growth, and spiritual well-being, Northeast educators share their expertise and experiences in ways that inspire others. Together, these efforts reflect our belief that innovation grows stronger when educators learn from one another and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
