Office of Student Services

The Office of Student Services works with students, families, faculty, and staff to address the diverse needs of the institution’s diverse student population.

The office collaborates and shares responsibilities with other community members to provide support in three critical areas: Student Accessibility, Military and Veterans Services, and Student Advocacy and Support.

What We Do

Disability Accommodations

Northeast Mississippi Community College provides reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities through the Office of Disability Accommodations (ODA).

 

Student Advocacy

Provides aid to students who experience hardships and extenuating circumstances including illness, hospitalization, bereavement, and food insecurity.

Veteran Services Office

The Veteran Services Office is located in the Office of Admissions and Records at Northeast Mississippi Community College and provides Veterans, Reservists, and their dependents assistance in obtaining the educational benefits to which they are entitled.

Felony Conviction Disclosure

If you have a felony conviction, please complete the Felony Review Form and send the form and a letter explaining your conviction to the Vice-President of Students.

Student Activities

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Office of Student Activities, your gateway to social activities, programs, and events that are geared to enhance your education and fulfill your inner need to be active in the community.

Student Housing

The College provides comfortable and safe residence halls for students who wish to live on campus. The college has five multi-level residence halls for men and women students: Murphy Hall, Wood Hall, Mississippi Hall (women’s residence), White Hall, and Yarber Hall (men’s residence).

It is the responsibility of each student to carefully review the various scholarships and submit the appropriate applications. Specific information on available scholarships is listed below.

Campus Safety

Chartered on July 1, 2005, the goal of the Northeast Mississippi Community College Campus Police Department is to provide a safe and secure environment that is conducive to the educational experience for students, staff faculty, and visitors while upholding the rules and regulations of the Northeast Mississippi Community College, the laws of the State of Mississippi and the United States of America.
