Office of Student Services
The Office of Student Services is dedicated to addressing the diverse needs of the institution's varied student population by working closely with students, their families, faculty, and staff. This office plays a crucial role in ensuring that every student receives the support they need to succeed academically and personally.
To achieve this, the Office of Student Services collaborates and shares responsibilities with other community members, focusing on three critical areas:
-
Student Accessibility: This area is committed to ensuring that all students, regardless of their physical or learning disabilities, have equal access to educational opportunities and resources. The office provides accommodations, support services, and resources to help students overcome any barriers to their education.
-
Military and Veterans Services: Recognizing the unique challenges faced by military personnel and veterans, this area offers specialized support to help them transition into academic life. Services include academic advising, counseling, and assistance with benefits and resources available to veterans and active-duty military members.
-
Student Advocacy and Support: This area focuses on advocating for students' rights and well-being. The office provides guidance and support for students facing personal, academic, or financial challenges. It also works to create a safe and inclusive campus environment where all students can thrive.
By addressing these critical areas, the Office of Student Services ensures that the institution's diverse student population receives comprehensive support tailored to their individual needs.
