Application Process (Admission Requirements, Materials, & Deadlines)
Reapply to NEMCC
Regular admission is granted to academic, technical, and career students who seek the Associate of Arts Degree, the Associate of Applied Science Degree, or the Career Certificate. Use the Apply Nowbutton to submit your application.
Start Watching your Email
After you complete your application, you can begin submitting the documents listed below. Start watching your email as well. You will receive at least three emails during the application process.
- Checklist Email - You will receive an email from enrollment@nemcc.edu that list the items that need to be complete in order to be accepted to Northeast. This will include things like your High School Transcripts, Tax Documents, Proof of Residency, etc. This will be sent to the email address you provided on your application. It is important that this email address is correct.
- Acceptance Email - Once all of the requirements for admission have been met, you should expect to receive a second email from enrollment@nemcc.edu indicating that you have been accepted for admission to the college.
- Okta Invitation Email - After you receive the acceptance email, you should receive a third email from okta@nemcc.edu that provides instructions on setting up your Northeast Single Sign on credentials and Multi-Factor Authentication. This email will be good for seven (7) days. Please complete the steps in this email as soon as possible.
Apply for Federal Financial Aid
Financial Aid is any source of funds that are available to help you pay for college. We recommend you submit a financial aid application to see what you qualify for.
If you are a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, submit your completed FAFSA application.

- Remember that you will need to apply for financial aid every academic year.

Apply for Foundation Scholarships
The NEMCC Foundation has numerous scholarships available to help pay for educational expenses for individuals who need financial assistance.
Apply for Mississippi Resident Scholarships
Additional scholarships may be available for Mississippi residents through the Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid.
Apply for Housing
Students wishing to stay on campus will need to complete a housing application.
Meet with your Advisor
Your academic advisor serves as a primary source of guidance as you navigate your undergraduate or graduate degree requirements. Communicate with your advisor early, and often!
You can find your advisor by signing into the TigerOne Portal and selecting the Student Profile tab.
Register for Classes
After you have meet with advisor you can log in to Student Registration system in order to register for classes or update your course schedule. You will need the registration PIN number your received from your advisor.
Obtain ID Card & Parking Decal
ID Cards and Parking Decals are available from the Housing Office in Ramsey Hall. You may submit your request for a new ID or Decal online.
