Build Skills for Careers in Business, Technology, and Skilled Trades
Division of Business and Engineering Technology
The Division of Business and Engineering Technology provides career and technical education designed to prepare you for today’s competitive job market. These programs focus on developing both technical and academic skills needed for success in high-demand and emerging careers.
With more than 20 programs available, including associate degrees and certificates, you can choose a path that fits your goals. Many programs also offer opportunities to earn industry-recognized certifications, helping you gain real-world credentials and stand out to employers.
Certificate programs follow a structured course sequence designed to build your skills step by step. Following the recommended plan helps ensure timely completion unless adjustments are approved by your advisor or instructor.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees prepare you for immediate employment in technical fields. These programs focus on career-ready skills, though some credits may transfer depending on the receiving institution.
Tiger Apprenticeship
The Tiger Apprenticeship program gives you the opportunity to gain real-world work experience while completing your career and technical education program. Through partnerships between NEMCC and local industry, you can work in your chosen field as you learn, applying classroom knowledge directly on the job.
This program helps you build valuable skills, make professional connections, and better understand workplace expectations before graduation.
