As part of an online course, you will be required to test at a testing center. These tests will be labeled proctored exams. You will be required to attend 1-3 proctored exams per semester. Approved testing centers are available throughout the state of Mississippi at each Community College location. Appointments for testing can be made through each online course using the SmarterProctoring menu within the course. Below are the current testing center locations and hours for Northeast. If you live out of the area and need a testing center approved, please use the Application for Off Campus Proctor Exams for approval.

Northeast Mississippi Community College uses proctored exams to ensure the integrity of student work. All students may schedule proctored exams at the college at no cost. Virtual proctor options may be available at the student’s cost. Cost varies based on test duration and appointment date verification. A computer or laptop is required for testing virtually.

In a situation where a student is unable to come to campus, he/she may make his or her own testing arrangements. These arrangements must be approved at least 5 business days in advance by the eLearning Office. The Application for Off Campus Proctor Exams may be completed by filling out the form.

Students who attend an out-of-state university or community college will be charged a $25 testing fee per exam to test at any Northeast Mississippi Community College e-Learning facility. The fee must be paid prior to beginning the examination. Students who attend a community college or university within Mississippi will continue to be tested at no charge.
