Student Complaint Procedures

Northeast Mississippi Community College provides a fair and systematic process for resolving student concerns in accordance with College policy and procedures.

Students may submit concerns informally for awareness or file a formal complaint when resolution is requested.

Submitting a Complaint

The Northeast Complaint Form allows individuals to submit:

📝 Informational / Informal Concerns

  • May be submitted without identifying information

  • Used for awareness, referral, or institutional improvement

  • May not receive an individual response

📌 Formal Complaints

  • Require name and contact information

  • Request review and response

Follow established appeal timelines and procedures

Important Notices

⚠️ Title IX & Sexual Misconduct

Complaints involving sexual harassment or sexual misconduct are handled under separate Title IX policies and should be reported through the Title IX reporting process.

🚫 Non-Retaliation

Northeast prohibits retaliation against any student who submits a complaint or participates in a grievance process.
