Class Schedule

  • 120 hours classroom instruction, lab, and clinical
  • Saturdays will be scheduled by your instructor for clinicals
  • Minimum 10 Students

Dental Assisting

Selection Criteria

  • Class – Maximum 10 Students
  • Completed packet with FULL payment of fee to reserve class slot (First Come First Serve Basis)

Emergency Medical Technician - Basic

Prerequisites:

  • CPR (BLS) – American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
  • Physical examination by physician or NP
  • Drug Test (In-house)
  • TB skin test or Chest X-ray prior to start of class
  • Hepatitis B vaccine (3shot series) or Titer test if shot series completed numerous years ago
  • MMR Vaccine (2 dose vaccine)
  • Influenza Vaccination
  • Proof of Age – 18 years old (Drivers License Required)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CRC (Career Readiness Certificate), ACT 17, or TABE (10th Grade) Reading

Radiology for Dental Assistants

The Radiology Workshop is a certificate program for dental assistants. This workshop trains and certifies individuals to take radiographs in a dental office. The Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners regulates this program.

Workshops are limited to 10 participants per workshop. Enrollment will be accepted on a first-come, first-pay basis only.

Local Anesthesia for the Dental Hygienist

The goal of this course is to prepare the practicing dental hygienist to assist the dentist in alleviating and managing patient's dental pain. The dental hygienist will be provided background knowledge in how nerve impulses are propagated and blocked, and the mechanics of local anesthetic administration.

  • This course is limited to 20 students.
  • Classroom location: Childers Hall - 4th Floor, Booneville campus
  • Cost: $1,200.00
