C2C Youth Program

NEMCC Tiger Works offers the opportunity for qualifying individuals to participate in the C2C (Counseling to Career) Youth Program. The goal with each youth is to provide one-on-one counseling to develop a “truly personalized” Individual Service Strategy (ISS) that helps the youth with short and long-term school/career goals. A C2C counselor assists participants in character development so they may begin the path to a better and brighter future and so much more:

  • One-on-one counseling
  • Increase your literacy skills
  • Complete the work ethics training resulting in a certificate to add to your portfolio
  • Need to complete your High School Equivalency (HSE)
  • Complete work experience
  • Enter career pathways, enter college, enter military, increase work wages, or obtain employment
  • Obtain much-needed INDUSTRY and NATIONAL certifications such as Career Readiness Certification(CRC), IC3 Certification, Skills USA Employability Skills Certification, Skills USA Customer Service Certification, and Smart Start Pathway Certification

Criteria for Admissions:

  • Not attending any school
  • Ages 16-24
  • Is in one or more of the following categories:
    • A high school dropout
    • Within compulsory school attendance age, but not attended school for at least the most recent complete school year calendar quarter
    • Homeless, a runaway, or a foster child or has aged out of the foster-care system, or in an out-of-home placement
    • Pregnant or a parent
    • Youth with a disability
    • Have attained a secondary school diploma a high school diploma or its equivalent (HSE), who is:
      • Low income and Basic skills deficient or
      • English language learner or
      • Low-income individual who requires additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold employment
