A native of Booneville, MS, Scott graduated from Booneville High School, attended NEMCC, and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ole Miss. After teaching high school English for five years, she served as an elementary school counselor before joining the faculty at Northeast in 1998. She is married to Coach Ray Scott, also an instructor at NEMCC, and they have 3 sons: Jon Andy, Jake, and J. Ross.
