I haven’t received VA benefits before and would like to apply for benefits at this school. What should I do?

As soon as you decide that you are interested in attending college complete the GI Bill application at www.va.gov.

 The sooner the better! Be sure to bring a copy of your DD 214 for active duty veterans, a NOBE for Reserve and National Guard applicants, a Certificate of Eligibility Letter once approved by the VA and a copy of your semester schedule.

I am adding/dropping classes and this will change my enrollment status. What should I do?

All changes to your class schedule and/or contact information must always be reported to the campus VA office. Dropped courses, cut-outs or withdrawals could affect any debt or overpayment.

I am changing my program of study. What do I need to do?

You’ll need to submit a Request for Change of Program or Place of Training (VA Form 22-1995). You can complete this form online now.

How do I change my banking information with VA?

Call the VA Call Center at 1-888-442-4551 change your banking information.

How does the VA pay and when will I receive my benefit payment?

The VA pays your monthly benefit at the end of each month by direct deposit, usually within 7 business days after processing.

Why is my check less for January, May, August and December?

Payments are prorated based on the number of days in the month that you are in classes. Your benefit stops the day classes’ end.

Where do I request my Joint Service Transcript?
