Our tutoring program at NEMCC exists thanks to the Student Support Services grant. You will likely hear “Student Support Services” when you call the Counseling Center.
Tutoring is available free to NEMCC students. It is available upon request for any student who needs help with a specific course. Students can apply in person at the Counseling Center by completing the “Request for Tutoring” packet or by clicking the link TO RECEIVE TUTORING. Although we try, we cannot guarantee that a tutor will be available in each subject.
Likewise, students interested in being a tutor can apply in person at the Counseling Center by completing the “Request to Tutor” packet or by clicking the link TO BE A TUTOR. On the I9 form, please complete the top portion and include your driver’s license information located in the middle of the form. Also, please sign all appropriate places. To tutor, typically students must earn an “A” and/or receive recommendation from their instructors. Student tutors are paid by the hour for their services.
