Northeast Sets Ticketing, Game Day Operational Policies Ahead of 2020 Football Campaign

September 15, 2020

The continuing coronavirus pandemic is forcing Northeast Mississippi Community College to make alterations to its football game day environment.

The changes include limited seating inside Tiger Stadium that conforms to the latest guidelines as established by Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves.

Those orders currently limit capacity of outdoor athletic venues to just 25 percent. Approximately 1,300 spectators can enter the 5,200-seat home of the Tigers based upon that statewide edict.

Everyone must sit in the bleachers. There will be no lawn chair seating, standing or loitering around the fence in the south end zone, down the sidelines and near the concession stand area.

No tickets will be sold at the gate on game night. Advance tickets will go on sale online at either or on the Friday before each home contest at a price of $10 each.

Northeast students can bring their identification card by the business office in Ramsey Hall each game week to secure one free ticket to that Thursday’s matchup while supplies last.

Only 160 tickets will be available for the visiting teams at all Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) venues this fall. Visitors should contact their respective athletic departments for information on how to obtain those tickets.

The northwest entrance to Tiger Stadium shall remain closed throughout the 2020 campaign. Visitors can access the facility at the northeast gate and must park at Booneville High School.

Fans of the Tigers can park at one of three locations, including Cunningham Boulevard, behind the home grandstands of Tiger Stadium or at the “Field of Dreams” baseball and softball complex.

The southwest corner serves as the pass gate for parents of Northeast football players, band members or cheerleaders. Those that purchased online tickets can come in at the south entrance.

All three active entrances will open to the public at 5:30 p.m., which is exactly one hour prior to kickoff. Fans must adhere to social distancing measures in the bleachers, concession stand lines and bathrooms.

Face coverings over the nose and mouth are required at all times whenever possible. They are particularly encouraged when entering and exiting the facility or when moving around the sidewalks.

Student-athletes, coaches, officials and other essential institutional personnel are the only groups that will gain access to the playing surface. Entry to the field at the conclusion of each contest is prohibited this season.

All guests and game day staff are asked to conduct self-screening of their personal health before coming to campus. This should include a temperature check and review of any potential COVID-19 symptoms.

The Tigers host three matchups as part of its revised schedule, including its season opener against Holmes Community College on Thursday, October 1. Northeast also welcomes Coahoma Community College and Northwest Mississippi Community College on October 15th and 22nd, respectively.

All six Northeast contests will air live on, Amazon and Roku television apps, WRMG-TV in Red Bay, Ala., and Tishomingo County plus on the radio at Fun 91.9 FM.
