NEMCC Set to Celebrate Homecoming September 19

Despite the summer heat clinging to the final days of the season, a fall tradition is already on the calendar at Northeast Mississippi Community College
Homecoming 2019 is set for Thursday, September 19 on the Booneville campus and will be hosted by the Northeast Development Foundation and Alumni Association and sponsored by Dodge Store.
Activities will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the Alumni & Sports Hall of Fame Dinner (tickets required) in the Claude Wright Room of the Haney Union.  Sam Mosley of New Albany will be inducted into the college’s Alumni Hall of Fame while former basketball standouts Anthony Gamble of Wheeler, Shirley Hall White of Ingomar and longtime assistant football and head baseball coach Billy Southward of Booneville are slated for enshrinement in the Sports Hall of Fame.
Pre-game ceremonies will feature these inductees as well of recognition of the 2019 recipients of the Dodge Store Scholarship.
Alumni of the classes of 1979-81 are celebrating with a reunion and will also be recognized.
Kickoff for the Tigers’ North Division game against the Holmes Community College Bulldogs is set for 7 p.m.
At halftime the 2019 Homecoming Queen and her Court will be introduced to the crown. Northeast president Ricky G. Ford will crown the Queen and Mosley will serve as Grand Marshal and present the Queen with flowers.
Free water, door prizes and a field goal kicking contest for $100 will be provided by Dodge Store.
