A native of Mantachie, MS, Tucker graduated from Mantachie High School, attended NEMCC, and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ole Miss. She served as a middle school teacher for five years before joining the faculty at Northeast in 2012. She is married to Daniel Tucker and they have one son: Tripp.
