It’s National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and we…

January 9, 2020

It’s National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and we cannot say Thank You enough to the members of the Northeast Mississippi Community College Police Department, who go out of their way every day to make the employees, students and Booneville/Prentiss County community feel safe and secure. Many things they do go unnoticed by the public and while they must do their jobs as Police Officers, they can and will unlock your car for you if you should lock your keys inside it on campus, they will provide a jumpstart to a car that just will not turnover, they will help a person change their tire and teach them the proper technique for changing a tire and many other public relations activities that normal police forces would not do. Whether in freezing temperatures to provide an escort across campus late at night to a student or employee or in the blazing summer heat working an athletic event or band festival wearing their full gear, the Northeast Mississippi Community College Police Department is always on call. They work tirelessly throughout the day (day and night) at the college…even on major holidays to make sure that not only the students and employees at Northeast feel safe and secure but the community as well. Thank you for dedicating your life and service to the mission of Northeast Mississippi Community College.
