WELCOME!

The Humanities and Social/Behavioral Sciences Division at Northeast is the second largest division on campus.  We offer courses in composition, literature, foreign language, creative writing, oral communication,  philosophy, history, geography, political science, psychology, sociology, health, and first aid.  Our programs afford opportunities for students who are seeking to enrich their lives through education –  whether it is to lay the foundation for further study at the university level or to join the work force as productive, critical-thinking, responsible citizens.

Our faculty stay abreast of the most current information in their disciplines as well as utilize the latest available technology in their classrooms. We believe that to be effective teachers, we must first be committed to being life-long learners. All of our instructors have masters or doctorate degrees, and many have completed additional course work or study in their respective fields.  This ensures that students have the most qualified, skilled instructors teaching their classes.

On behalf of the Humanities and Social/Behavioral Sciences Division faculty, I extend an invitation to all who are seeking a quality education to come see us at Northeast.  We believe that what we do makes a difference in the lives of our students and in our world!
