Getting Started with eLearning

Complete the admissions process to become eligible to register for classes. Access the admissions application online at the Admissions and Records website. Contact Admissions and Records for additional questions by phone at (800) 555-2154 or by email at
Meet with an advisor to find the right classes for your needs. Your advisor will provide you with your pin number for registration. For more information about getting started with your class schedule, you can review the Advising and Semester Scheduling page.
Registration can be completed online or with your advisor. Northeast online courses can be added in Tigerline. Non-NEMCC online courses offered through the MSVCC can be added/changed by contacting the eLearning Office. Contact the eLearning Office at 662-720-7191.
Once you have a schedule in place, you must take care of all financial aid needs, contact the business office to lock-in your schedule, and order any textbooks you may need for your classes. Visit the Textbook Requirements page to view what books you need for your online courses.
Once you locked in your schedule with the business office, within 24 hours you will be granted access to the Canvas system for access your courses. Below you can find the steps to take to log in to Canvas. You will not be able to view your course until the first day of class. To log in and navigate Canvas complete the following steps:
    Go to the Canvas link at the top of the webpage. Your username is your Northeast email address. If your password has not been setup, you will use the Create New Password link. On the Create New Password link you will enter your Northeast Email Address. An email will be sent to your personal email on file. Use the email links to setup your password. Follow all guidelines for password requirements to complete the process. To confirm your personal email file, you may inquire with Admissions and Records or the eLearning Office.
