Originally from Texas, Falkner moved to Mississippi in 1977 to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Mississippi. Today, she has over thirty years of experience as a Mississippi educator. She joined the Northeast faculty in 1989 after teaching high school social studies in Batesville and New Site. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Falkner serves as the Assistant Division Chair and is active on the NE Cultural Arts Committee.
