WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT
Greetings from everyone at Northeast and the Development Foundation. We appreciate your interest in the college and its well being. The Northeast Mississippi Community College Development Foundation was created to assist the college in developing its financial base and to conduct programs that promote the ability of the college to serve its clients in better ways. Gifts made to the Foundation are investments in the human capital of our region. Through scholarships and grants, Foundation funds are used to develop the academic and career skills of students and college staff.
I encourage you to study the information on this site. I hope that your studies will cause you to make a personal contact with any of the staff. We value your support and encouragement as we try to make Northeast a better place to work and learn.

WELCOME FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
I write with the hopes that you will join me in supporting the NEMCC Development Foundation’s mission “to solicit and receive gifts to support students, faculty and administration at Northeast Mississippi Community College.” Sharing in our mission provides all of us with a wonderful opportunity to work together to transform both the College and our students’ lives.
The assistance provided through the Foundation lowers barriers to a higher education and changes the lives of those students who cannot afford to attend college. It will change the life of the student who is working full-time and taking courses at night. It will change the life of the single mother who is attending NEMCC in order to make life better for her family. More than this, by changing these lives, we will also change our community. Many of the individuals who receive Foundation assistance will someday serve as leaders in our community.
Education frees; but education, as we all know, is not free. In order to bridge the gap between the cost of tuition and NEMCC students’ ability to pay, we call on alumni, friends, and neighbors to invest in the College and the community. We also call upon our corporate and business community to partner with us to make the academic and career dreams of NEMCC students become a reality.

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
A Quality Investment for Excellence
The Northeast Mississippi Community College Development Foundation, Inc., which is a non-profit corporation, has worked and will continue working to strengthen the college through its private fund raising efforts. The Northeast Development Foundation works to solicit and receive gifts to support students, faculty and administration at Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Governing Body
The Northeast Development Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, which establishes policy for all its functions – fund raising, public relations, administration, accounting and investments.
The Board of Directors of the Northeast Development Foundation is composed of twenty members, which are made up from the five county areas the college serves. Firms, corporations, and individuals may become members of the Northeast Development Foundation subject to approval by the entire board.
