Chorus and Chamber Choir
Membership in the Northeast Chorus is offered to students interested in singing. The Northeast Chorus is open to any student. The Chorus averages 60-75 students each semester. The Chorus presents concerts in the area and performs annually with the North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra at their Christmas concert.
The Chamber Choir is selected by audition from the Northeast Chorus.

The “Show Band from Tigerland” Marching band is a 225-plus-member band that performs in the fall semester at football games, parades and other events on and off campus. During the spring semester the band is divided into three “Pep Bands” for basketball games. An indoor Drumline and an indoor Winter Color Guard performs at area competitions, local high schools, and other events. The 50-member Tiger Dancer Squad performs with the band during the fall semester. The group is reduced to a 23-member Tiger Pom Squad during the spring semester, and performs at basketball games. The band is an academic activity offered for credit under the direction of Bryan Mitchell.

Director of Bands
The Northeast Jazz Band plays various styles of jazz music from traditional to contemporary. The ensemble is able to perform with great artists from around the country such as bass trombonist and jazz artist, Ron Wilkins and Jeff Coffin, the saxophonist for the Dave Matthews Band. Auditions are held in the fall semester during the first week of school.
Northeast offers a country music group, Campus Country: a complete country band with singers, instrumentalists, and sound technicians. Campus Country presents four “Showtime’ concerts on campus annually, and entertains at area festivals, high schools, and other events.
